Nebivolol is a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker used primarily in the treatment of high blood pressure. It works by slowing the heart rate and reducing the workload on the heart, while also promoting blood-vessel relaxation through nitric oxide-mediated effects.
Nebivolol helps lower blood pressure and may reduce the strain placed on the cardiovascular system. The prescribed dose depends on the patient’s condition, response to treatment, and other medicines being taken.
